European Parliament condemns violence against lesbian women, supports LGBTI rights in Africa

Prides unfold safely in Bulgaria and Romania
On Saturday 30 June, Pride events took place peacefully in Sofia and Bucharest despite earlier threats and calls for violence. Activists have hailed the most successful prides to date in the two capitals.

The European Parliament has recommended that the future EU Special Representative for Human Rights, soon to be appointed, should promote the human rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people worldwide.
