On Tuesday 28 January, the LGBT Intergroup will host an event on homophobic and transphobic bullying together with the Youth Intergoup and the International LGBTQ Youth and Student Organisation (IGLYO). Registration is now open by e-mail.
All too often, young people are subject to bullying on the basis of their (perceived) sexual orientation or gender identity. The LGBT survey conducted by the Fundamental Rights Agency shows that over two thirds of LGBT people heard or saw negative comments or conduct at school towards someone perceived to be LGBT.
During this event, IGLYO will launch a new report on the link between homophobic and transphobic bullying, and access to the labour market.
This seminar will take place in Brussels, and is open to the public. To register, guests must send their full name, city of residence, date of birth and passport or ID card number to by Friday 24 January at 12:00 (noon) CET at the latest.
